Apply for a CLG Grant

FY24 CLG Grant Applications Now Being Accepted

Applications for fiscal year (FY) 2024 Ceritified Local Government (CLG) grants are now open. The application deadline is February 2, 2024.

Michigan communities that have entered into the Certified Local Government (CLG) program by the application deadline are eligible to apply for FY 2024 grant funding from SHPO. Non-profits and public entities within a CLG community can also partner with the CLG on an application. Funding is available in two categories: (1) rehabilitation planning and rehabilitation projects and (2) planning, documentation, and education projects. 

FY24 grant cycle dates:

  • October 2, 2023: Application round opens
  • December 8, 2023: Draft application review (optional)
  • February 2, 2024: Application round closes
  • April 2024: SHPO provides letters of intent to award
  • July 2024: Grant agreements executed
  • Summer 2024: Projects begin
  • August 31, 2026: Project activities must be completed

CLG GRANT WEBINAR
