Apply for a CLG Project Grant

FY25 CLG Project Grant Applications Now Available

Applications for fiscal year (FY) 2025 Ceritified Local Government (CLG) project grants are now available. The application deadline is February 3, 2025.

Michigan communities that have entered into the Certified Local Government (CLG) program by the application deadline are eligible to apply for FY 2025 project grants from SHPO. Non-profits and public entities within a CLG community can also partner with the CLG on an application. Funding is available in two categories: (1) pre-development and development projects and (2) planning, documentation, and education projects. 

FY25 grant cycle dates:

  • October 1, 2024: Application round opens
  • October 22, 2024: Informational webinar (optional, see below link)
  • December 6, 2024: Draft application review (optional)
  • February 3, 2025: Application round closes
  • Spring 2025: SHPO provides letters of intent to award
  • July 2025: Grant agreements executed
  • Summer 2025: Projects begin
  • August 31, 2027: Project activities must be completed

Applicants for FY25 are encouraged to watch the webinar to help them prepare their best application.
