Redevelopment Services

Kentwood

The City of Kentwood was incorporated in 1967 by the vote of more than 6,000 residents, officially transforming Paris Township into Kentwood. Since that time, Kentwood has grown into a thriving community, home to more than 51,000 people. Kentwood offers a high quality of life due to its proximity to many of West Michigan’s destination dining, entertainment and outdoor recreation options. Centrally located, it’s an easy local commute, thanks to many public and private transport options. It’s also located just 15 miles southeast of downtown Grand Rapids and 30 miles from beautiful Lake Michigan. To learn more about doing business in Kentwood, visit the open for business webpage.
