Funding Round: Parks and Resilient Communities
The Parks and Resilient Communities (PARC) Funding Round is now OPEN!
On October 30, 2026, the MEDC announced the launch of a Parks and Resilient Communities (PARC) funding round. The PARC program renovates local parks and public gathering spaces with the installation of new public infrastructure to help residents gather and utilize amenities for recreational purposes, while addressing climate change, managing floods, and improving public health. This initiative transforms existing public recreation spaces into active defenses against extreme weather while boosting neighborhood well-being and social connection.
There is $15,000,000 in funding available for awards. Applicants can apply for CDBG funds ranging between $500,000-$1,000,000 per proposed project. The actual awarded amount may include administrative costs in excess of the project cost. Administrative costs are capped at 10% of the total award.
This funding round is time sensitive. Please pay close attention to the timeline found in the PARC Application Instructions and Program Guidelines document published on this webpage. The deadline for completion of these projects is December 31, 2028.
The PARC Application must be submitted NO LATER THAN February 12, 2027 at 5:00 p.m. EST. Email the completed application and all required attachments in one pdf, if possible, to [email protected]. Applicants will receive an email response that your application has been received.
