How to get started
Identifying a community’s needs is more than just looking over a menu of grants and programs and picking which ones sound good. Before a community can effectively access resources to better itself, we must first determine what its vision for the future is. Whether it’s having a vibrant downtown, healthy and walkable neighborhoods, active green spaces, historic character, a thriving business community or all of the above, a community must decide for itself what it wants to be. Only then can a community go about aligning resources to meet its placemaking needs.
